Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy describes how we handle information when you use plot-pulse.com and any successor app we publish. It should be read with the Terms.

2. What we collect

• Account data from a sign-in provider (Google or X): name, email if the provider shares one, avatar, and a stable user id.
• Addresses you type into Free Pulse or Private Pulse.
• Contact-form name, email, topic, and message.
• Favorites (story slugs), upvotes and downvotes, and membership status / period end.
• Technical logs ordinary to hosting: IP address, user agent, path, and approximate time. We do not sell these.
• On-device saves for Midnight Fist Lab and guest favorites, which stay in your browser unless you sign in and sync.

3. What we do not collect

We do not ask for government IDs, payment-card numbers (those, when billing is live, go to the processor), precise GPS, or biometric data. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child sent us data, use the contact desk and we will delete it.

4. Why we use it

To run the archive, keep you signed in, send Pulse mail you asked for, deliver Private Pulse files, file contact tickets, count votes, remember favorites, secure the service, and comply with law. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your stories-read list to train a public model.

5. Sharing

We share data with processors who run hosting, databases, auth, and (when attached) payment — only as needed to provide the service. We may share with law enforcement when required, or in a sale of the project under the same promises. First-party underwriter cards are our own placements. If Google AdSense, Jetpack, or another listed ads.txt seller runs on a WordPress or hybrid front of the domain, those companies process ad requests under their own policies. Our ads.txt file lists authorized digital sellers for the domain.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie (or equivalent) to keep you signed in. The browser also stores last-read files, guest favorites, and Midnight Fist Lab progress. You can clear those in the browser. Clearing them does not delete a server-side membership.

7. Retention

Accounts and memberships last until you ask us to delete them or we close the desk. Pulse addresses stay until you ask to be removed. Contact tickets are kept as long as needed to answer and to protect the operator. Votes stay with the story unless we reset the table.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including Montana, other U.S. states with privacy statutes, and the EEA/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Use the contact desk with topic “Legal / takedown” or “General.” We will need enough detail to find your records. You may also close a provider connection (Google / X) on that provider’s site.

9. Security and transfers

We use ordinary industry hosting and transport encryption. No method is perfect. Data may be processed in the United States. If you write us from another country, you understand that transfer.

10. Changes

We will post an updated date when this policy changes. Material changes to how we use email will be noted on the Pulse page as well.
